HOW CAN I JOIN SNAPnSAVE?

Joining SNAPnSAVE is free and easy. Simply register an account on our website or on the SNAPnSAVE mobile app. You can download the mobile app on the IOS (Apple) or Android app stores or find us on Wechat ID:SNAPnSAVE

WHERE IS SNAPNSAVE AVAILABLE?

Currently, only in sunny South Africa. Our mobile app is available for both IOS (Apple) and Android smartphones as well as WeChat WeChat users.

SHARING YOUR UNIQUE PROMO CODE

Earn extra cash by inviting others to use SnapnSave by sharing your unique promo code with them. Find your unique promo code on the “Free Cash” page and hit the invite button. You’ll get R10 into your wallet every time some who joins using your promo code snaps their first legitimate till slip.

USING A PROMO CODE

Promo codes are entered by a new user when registering a new account. Enter the promo code into the field “Got Promo Code?” If you’re using a unique user promo code shared by a friend already using SnapnSave - you will receive R5 when you try out your first snap using any till slip you have laying around and another R5 when you snap your first legitimate till slip. If you receive a promo code from a blog or any other editorial content the amount you are credited with may vary.

WHAT IS AN OFFER?

An offer is when we offer you cash back for buying a particular product.

WHAT IS A LOCKED OFFER?

Locked Offers are offers that can only be booked by people with the special unlock code. Sometimes you as a SNAPnSAVE user can get the unlock code by clicking on the offer and following the link.

How does “Notify me” work?

When offers on a particular product have been all booked out by other users you can request to be notified if one becomes available. If so, the offer will automatically be placed in your booked list and you will be notified.

NB: Please don’t buy or wait for these items to become available as your other booked items could expire and there is no guarantee more offers will become available at all. This feature does not apply to locked offers.

When Are New Offers Loaded?

We load new cashback offers every week and usually on a Friday morning. Remember that offers are being released back onto SNAPnSAVE all the time because some users aren’t redeeming their booked offers within the 48hr period.

WHAT ARE MONEY MAKERS?

Money Makers are our super offers that we run on the last Friday of every month. These offers always give a minimum of 50% cash back on popular products.

All our available offers are viewable on our website or on the mobile app. Click “Discover Offers” to see the full list.

What’s Up With The Offers That Say “All Booked Out”?

These are offers that have run out because they have all been booked by other users. If they are not redeemed by other users within 48hrs, some will become available for others to book them.

HOW DO I BOOK AN OFFER?

Easy! When browsing the list of offers, simply click “Book Offer” and follow the prompts.

Do I Have To Book The Offer To Get Cash Back?

Yes, you need to book the offer, buy the product(s) and snap your till slip with 48hrs of booking the offer in order to get cash back.

Can I Book More Than 1 Coupon per Offer

Yes, on stipulated offers. If not stipulated you are limited to one coupon per offer.

WHAT HAPPENS ONCE I BOOK AN OFFER?

Once you’ve booked an offer, you have 48hrs to go buy that product in any leading national retailer where it is available and snap your till slip. Click on the offer image to get more information such as where it can be purchased.

Where Can I Buy The Products That Are On Offer?

You can buy the products that are on offer with SNAPnSAVE at most leading national retailers. Click on the offer image to see information about where the offer is available. Sometimes, specific stores may not be in stock of a particular product - that’s just the way the cookie crumbles.

Can I Buy The Products on Offer at Online Stores?

Unless specifically stipulated in the offer terms, you can only snap till slips for products that you buy in-store at any of SA’s national retailers.

What Must I Do When I Have Bought A Product That I Have Booked An Offer For?

You need to send us a snap of your till slip to prove that you purchased the product. Click “Snap My Till Slip” when logged into your profile. If you are using the mobile app, you will find the snap button at the bottom of the screen in the centre.

How Do I See The Offer Details & Terms?

Click on the offer image and you will find all information about the offer such as where you can buy the product and other useful info. We highly recommend that you check the offer details before buying the products to avoid any misunderstandings.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T USE AN OFFER WITHIN 48HRS?

If you haven’t sent us a snap of your till slip after 48hrs of booking an offer, we assume you are no longer interested in the offer. The offer then gets released back so that other snappers can take advantage of it.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT A BOOKED OFFER ANYMORE?

You can unbook offers that you’ve previously booked at any time. Simply click on an offer that you’ve booked and it will give you an option to unbook it.

How Do I Snap My Till Slip?

Click “Snap My Till Slip” when logged into your profile. If you are using the mobile app, you will find the snap button at the bottom of the screen in the centre. Make sure you read all the instructions before submitting your till slip. We require certain information to be clearly visible in your snaps in order for us to be able to approve your till slip.

What Info Needs to Be Included In My Till Slip Snaps?

We need to be able to clearly make out the shop name, date, time, items that you’ve purchased, the barcode, the barcode number and the VAT number. You can take multiple snaps of the same till slip to fit all the info in your pics.

How Do I Snap a Long Till Slip?

You can take multiple snaps of the same till slip to fit all the required info in. When you have taken the first snap, click “ADD A SECTION”.

What do I do if my camera won’t open to let me snap?

Have a look in the app settings on your phone to make sure you allow the SnapnSave app to use or access your camera. Then try snapping again.

When Will I Get My Cash Back After I have Snapped My Till Slip?

It takes us up to 4 working days to process your till slips and you will be notified if your snapped till slip has been approved or not.

What Happens When My Snapped Till Slip Is Rejected?

You need to visit My Wallet when logged into your profile. When in My Wallet, click on “Transaction History” to see why it was rejected. If your snapped till slip is rejected, your offers will stay booked for a further 48hrs to allow you to snap your till slip again properly.

Can I use the same till slip more than once?

No, strictly one submission per till slip. You can’t re-submit the same slip for another offer/s you’ve booked.

How Do I Receive My Cash Back?

Once you have successfully snapped your till slip and we have processed it, you will be notified and your cash back will be deposited into your SNAPnSAVE wallet. You can then cash out as much of your available cash back as you want (as long as its greater than R10) by requesting a wiCode in My Wallet when logged on your SNAPnSAVE profile.

How do I use my WiCode?

Once you have successfully cashed out to wiCode from your SnapnSave wallet, you can then use your wiCode just like real cash at all participating retailers across South Africa (See the “How it works” page for the full list). When you get to the till you just need to explain to the teller that you are wanting to pay using a wiCode or “mobile tender”. Show the teller your wiCode displayed on SnapnSave so they can punch it in which will reduce your total bill by the value of your wiCode. Please note that you can’t withdraw cash from the teller using a wiCode.

Is there a minimum cash out amount?

Yes, You need to have more than R10 in your wallet to cash out, so get snapn’!

How Long is The Cash Back in My Wallet Valid For?

Your cash back in your SNAPnSAVE wallet is valid for 3 years from the date of your last login into your SNAPnSAVE profile.

What’s A wiCode?

A wiCode is a 7-digit number that we give you when you request your cash back. You can use your wiCode at specified "stores" to pay for your shopping. Please note that your wiCode cannot be redeemed for cash and may only be used to reduce the value of your purchase.

What Happens If The Teller Doesn’t Know About the wiCode?

You should ask to speak to the store manager and explain that you are wanting to use your wiCode to pay for your goods. It that doesn’t work, please drop us an email at hello@snapnsave.co.za.

Will My wiCode Expire?

Your wiCode will expire and automatically refresh when you use it or every 48hrs after being issued. Your latest wiCode will always be displayed in “My Wallet” when logged on your SNAPnSAVE profile. If you’re planning on using your wiCode, make sure you have the latest code on you.

Where Can I Use My wiCode?

A list of stores where wiCodes are accepted can be found at the "How it works" section of the website or mobile app.

What Happens If The Teller Doesn’t Know About the wiCode?

What’s The Difference Between My Wallet Balance & My Lifetime Earnings?

Your wallet balance is the amount of cash back that you have available in your SNAPnSAVE wallet. Your lifetime earnings is the total amount of cash back that you have earned since registering with SNAPnSAVE.

What Happens If I Forgot My Password?

Simply go to the login screen on the website or app and click “I Forgot My Password” and follow the prompts to reset your password.

What is “Snap Any Till Slip”?

We want you to get the feel for how easy it is to start snapping your till slips, so we're giving you R5 back just to snap any ol' till slip you have laying around. This is only for users who have never snapped a till slip yet. If you missed the chance to do it after you signed up head to your wallet to try your first snap and earn R5!

Why do I get R5 for my first valid snap?

Anyone who successfully snaps their first real till slip, after booking and buying items featured on SnapnSave, will automatically receive a bonus R5 in addition to the cash they get back on the slip they submitted. The additional R5 will be added to your wallet upon approval of your till slip and will appear in your transaction history.

What is “Double cash back”?

For certain periods of time (determined by SnapnSave) any cash back you earn will be doubled! To find out when we run double cash back follow us on Facebook or twitter and subscribe to our newsletter so you don’t miss out.

What are Multiple Coupons?

They are offers that contain more than one coupon per item.

How do I book Multiple Coupons?

When you see the Multiple Coupon icon (2 Red dots) on the booking button, we will indicate how many coupons are available to you to book for that offer.

Do I have to buy all Multiple Coupons that I book?

No, you don’t. Just don’t forget it has to be Snapped in 48 hours.

Do I get to Select how many Multiple Coupons I want to book per Offer?

When booking a Multiple Coupon, the maximum number of coupons available for that offer are automatically booked, although you don’t have to use them all.

What happens if I don’t buy the all the Multiple Coupons booked to me?

Not to worry, if you don’t use all the Multiple Coupons available, they will be automatically re-booked to you for another 48 hours. E.g. If the maximum number of coupons for a Multiple Coupon offer is 4, and you book the offer and then snap 1 coupon, the outstanding 3 would be automatically re-booked for you to use again.

How does the Strike through on My Booked Offers Work? (Mobile App’s only)

You can strike your offers off your My Booked Offers list as you shop. Use this just like a shopping list, striking items off as you put them into your trolly or basket. NB: Striking items off your list does not unbook them. To Remove the Strikethrough simply tap it again

I’ve done an EFT to my account, how long does it take to reflect?

Currently we can only process EFT payments every Friday, so the waiting time will depend on when the transfer was done. If you do an EFT from SnapnSave on Friday it can only be processed the following Friday. This is soon going to be an instant transfer.

What do I do if my EFT failed or bounced?

You will be notified 2-3 days after we process all EFT’s. (EFT’s are processed every Friday). If your EFT bounces or fails, please send a quick mail to hello@snapnsave.co.za and we will assist you. It is lightly that you entered your account number incorrectly.

How secure are my bank details?

Extremely! We don’t even store your details on our servers so there is no way anyone can get to them. Once you input your details your account number is encrypted, so not even we can see your details when a transfer is made.

Why do I pay bank transfer fees when using EFT & Wi Code cash outs?

Every bank charges a standard transfer rate of around R2,50 per transfer into your account. We do our best to keep this charge as low as possible but it is often not in our control.

What do I do if my bank isn’t listed for an EFT?

Drop us a mail at hello@snapnsave.co.za and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

What do I do if my phone gets lost or stolen?

Sorry for your loss. Simply log on to the SnapnSave app using a different phone, go to your profile and change your password at the bottom of your profile page. Alternatively drop us a mail to Hello@snapnsave.co.za and we’ll gladly assist you.

What’s a WeChat transfer?

WeChat is an app for chatting with friends and companies. It also has a wallet feature which it’s users can link to their accounts and use it to withdraw cash from an ATM, buy airtime, prepaid electricity & pay in-store using Snapscan. If you have an active WeChat wallet you can cashout or transfer money from your SnapnSave wallet into your WeChat wallet.

How do I activate my WeChat wallet?

Firstly you need to have the WeChat app installed on your device (Get it from your app store). Then open the WeChat app > Tap on “Me” > Tap on Wallet > Then tap on “Cards” and add a card. This will activate your WeChat wallet and allow you to transfer your cashback from your SnapnSave app into your WeChat wallet.

How do I delete an EFT account from my cashout options?

Drop us a mail with your cell number and the name of the account you want deleted to Hello@snapnsave.co.za and we’ll assist you.

What is the Snapper Ranking?

The Snapper Ranking is a lifetime and monthly leaderboard showing where you rank along with other snappers, based on how many coupons you use. It also rewards you with a R5 bonus on every 10th coupon you snap. There are currently 12 Snapper levels for you to unlock and each level has 6 trophies you must earn by snapping coupons. Get all 6 trophies and you will climb up to the next Snapper level and at the same time, up the overall Snapper Rankings.

5 Coupons earn me 1 trophy…what if I snap more than 5?

You need to snap at least 5 coupons to earn 1 trophy but if you snap more coupons they carry over and count towards your next trophy. However, additional coupons do not carry over if you unlock a new Snapper level. You can view your current rank and Snapper level at anytime, under “Snapper Rankings”

Can I have multiple SnapnSave accounts?

No, opening multiple SnapnSave accounts is strictly forbidden. Any user found to have more than one SnapnSave account will have their wallet frozen and will not be able to cash out. If you are using more than one SnapnSave account please contact us to rectify the situation.
